 Characteristics of Travertine

Compared to such stones as granite, Travertine is more soft and light due to its density and other qualities. It can also come in a variety of colors from cream and tan, to green, red, or even dark brown. Because of striations in texture it doesn't have the appearance of one solid color and each piece can be very unique.

Travertine is used in a myriad of different ways today - anything from construction aggregate, walkways, gravel and landscaping.

Characteristics: Softer. Less Dense. Unique. Decorative.
Uses/Applications: Landscaping; Paving; Garden Paths; Decoration; Construction Aggregate; Pebble; Chips; Gravel; Aquariums; Floor Pots; Boulders; & More.
